How to create slide shows -
for home and business

Do you have plenty of family photos? Do you need to show-case your product or service? Create a slide show! Whether it is for home or business use people love slide shows, creating them is fun, and you can do it literally in seconds.
You will want slide shows in any of the following situations:
 Each time you need to provide step-by-step instructions or explanations
You have plenty of family photos and want to organize them for easy viewing
Your friends and family live in a different city - mailing them a CD is a lot easier than duplicating stacks of photos
You have hundreds of images on your hard disk
You have images stored in multiple folders and do not wish to waste your time opening each folder
You have products and want to demonstrate their qualities or show how to use them
You run a service and want to show-case it to the world or explain how it works
You need to illustrate or augment your manuals and documentation
Your images are stored in many different formats
Or, if you just need a quick and easy way to view your images.
To address these needs, Antechinus® Animator Professional includes 4 powerful tools:
- Quick slide show
- Quick multi-folder slide show
- Image browser, and
- Stand-alone slide show designer
When you browse to a folder with images, use Animator's Quick slide show option to instantly create full-screen slide show of all the images found. When you start full screen viewing, you can go back and forth from one image to another, skip few at a time, jump to the end of the slide show, or easily pan the images that are larger then the screen.
Quick multi-folder slide show is similar to the first option: in addition to the selected folder, Animator will look into all of it sub-folders seeking for images for the slide show. Of course, if the specified folder is the root of the drive, ( for example c:\ or d:\ etc ) you will be able to see all the images you have on the hard disk.
Even if you have images stored in a wide variety of formats, Animator will display them: over 20 image formats are supported, with all of their different compression methods and image depths.
Image browser gives you a quick preview of images and a way of organizing them. Use Image browser to:
Preview images as thumbnails
Delete the images you don't need, copy or move them to a different location
Place the images on the clipboard, and
Open multiple images to re-touch them and edit them.
Use Slide show designer when you want to save your slide shows, to view them again later or as stand-alone applications. It only takes few clicks to import the images and organize them, add music, and save the result.
The Slide Show Designer control panel will allow you to add and preview the images, sort them out, remove the ones you don't need, and add the transition effects when moving from one image to another. Points to remember:
If you are going to talk and explain things as you run your slide show, select Keyboard-controlled playback.
If your slide show goes into a shop window, select Automatic playback and check the Loop button. This way, the slide show will keep repeating until you press the Esc key.
If you wish to relax and enjoy your time, check the Use sound option, add some fine music to your slide show, check the Use transition effects button, and select Automatic playback. The slide show will play automatically, but you can always pause it and take over the manual control if needed.
When you want to give the slide show to your clients, friends and family, or ship it as part of your application, manual or documentation, use the Create stand-alone slide show command. Just specify the name of your slide show and the program will do the rest, assemble the files and create the executable. This way other people will be able to play it without installing Animator Professional.
Putting it all together
Creating musical slide shows is fast and easy and you will often need them both for home and business. You can also re-touch and perfect your images, or make them more interesting using an array of animated and image effects. You will find Animator to be the great time saver when you have lots of images, in multiple folders and saved in different formats, but you will also see how much FUN and ENJOYMENT you will have putting your slide shows together.
